Veneer flooring can be less expensive and quicker to install but for the long haul it will end up a one use application. Once the veneer layer wears out it can’t be sanded and reused. Veneer flooring can be purchased in many different colors and will be a quick installation. You might be able to install it yourself with the right tools and know how.

Vinyl wood imitation flooring has certain advantages  to wood. It is impervious to moisture. In a kitchen and at entry ways the moisture build up over the years will present wood flooring with a challenging condition. Vinyl flooring will hold up better than wood.

All wood flooring types are fine to use in any condition but you should take certain precautions and care for your floors. For example placing carpet with rubber backing (floor mats) at entry ways and sink areas.
